VALTANEN SCORES AN ALMOST TOP 10 IN THE OK AT ZUERA.

The Round 1 of the CIK FIA European Championship is now over at Zuera e all the Pantano Team Crew members (drivers and technicians) are heading back home after a very long and tough racing week end. The 5 drivers line up of the Italian team left the spanish track with a big bitter taste in mouth due to not attending the Final race. Only Valtanen (OK) has attended the most important race of the week end scoring a final 11th spot, after a week in which he have occupied mostly the TOP 5 position of the category. For the other OKJ drivers Smith, Capietto and Abrahamsson the week end has been very poor of satisfactions. The English and the french drivers had a couple of accident (DNF) in the heats which pulled them far from the access of the Final whilst Abrahamsson still need to collect the proper experience on track for such high level of competitions. The Italian Ressico d’Aloisio, being back to the paddock safe  after the massive accident occurred at the start of the 5th heats, missed as well the access to the Final after a DNF in the heats. Definitely all the drivers have a potential pace to fight for the top positions but they need to work harder on qualifying sessions to be able to start in better spot of the grid during the heats.

Giorgio Pantano:I am pretty disappointed because all of our drivers could have been scored much better results as our technical package was very performing. Unfortunately we need to improve a lot during the qualifying sessions as they are so important to avoid all the issues during the heats. We are here to learn and to help our drivers to improve to handle better the hot phase of the week end. Next time in Sarno we’ll do it
